The Paradise Isle Beach Resort at Udupi is the best resort close to the Maple beach, you venture out of the lodging and there's the beach! The resort staff is polite and accommodating right from the reservation. We needed to put off our travel in view of some vehicle issue. The staff expeditiously changed our booking point of interest at an extra cost according to the approach. On landing, we were checked-in a pool confronting room. We had booked Ocean confronting one, yet since we checked in right on time, they made some impermanent courses of action. Room was pleasant, comfortable. However, there was a reptile in the air conditioner vents : ( After around 20 minutes, we checked in our Ocean Confronting room. The perspective was great. Not extremely awesome however, since the resort is around 105m from the beach and room was on the ground floor. In spite of the fact that they ate buffet, we were served the same in our room, since we had a little infant with us. They have some tie-up with the enterprise movement on the shoreline. We could enjoy Uneven vessel ride, water bike. Awesome fun. Must attempt! Tragically Parasailing, Banana pontoon ride were distracted that day Nourishment at the resort was great. Very little decision however. It required investment to convey supper. In general, it was great stay, would prescribe for families with children, since its benevolent resort

I drove down from Bangalore and after a drive on the horrifying roads on Shiradi Ghat, we stopped at Mangalore. Next day after breakfast we started to Malpe and reached the resort at 12:30PM. The check-in time was confirmed to be 12 noon but we were made to wait for almost half an hour before we got our room. We booked a Premium Sea View room as the resort executive promised us a good sea view. We were disappointed to see the rooms facing the parking and the sea was hardly seen. The noise at the parking area also woke us up at untimely hours making it a nightmare.
Don't be carried away with the photos on their website like me. I assumed it to have a private beach. However I was still under this impression even after I reached there and had lunch in the sea facing restaurant. However after 3:30PM, I saw loads of bus carrying school children and locals from Udupi flocking the place. The sea view was nothing less than Chennai Marina beach at evenings.
However the front office were courteous and tried to make us feel comfortable.
Best Experience: The room & bathrooms were neatly maintained. The linen looked neat and smelled fresh.
The trip to St Mary's island was arranged and co-ordinated. We were informed at the room when the boat was ready, so we didn't have to wait. So the trip to St Mary's was a good experience.
The room were upgraded as the flush was not working at no extra cost. That came as a pleasant surprise.
Worst Experience: Food served at their sea view restaurant was not really a treat to our taste buds. For the first time in my life saw lemon rice, sambhar rice and rasam rice being served. While they claim to serve authentic coastal delicacies. I was disappointed. Though the sea food was fresh (with fish market just 200m away) there was not variety in sea food that was served. The service was very slow. Breakfast also was not upto the mark.
