My visit was of a business purpose as I had work for one day and the rest 2 days I took by myself to explore the city and the beautiful hotel I stayed overlooking the majestic Sea Link view from my room and the great service in the club lounge which is open 24x7 overlooking the beautiful Arabian sea. My room was spacious with very comfortable bed and LCD television. Television is the thing I cannot live without. Not forgetting the most luxurious bathrooms in which they have television and I could peacefully take shower and bath without missing my television programs. Though there were not all channels available which I watch but there are a few movie channels. It would be great if they could increase their movie channels. Taj Lands End Hotel has a variety of restaurants for various foodies.. Love their Ming Yang restaurant for Chinese. Though I missed visiting on my last stay but it's my favorite Chinese restaurant in Mumbai, Well, this time I did try out their new Italian restaurant Maritime and I had a great meal there with a friendly chef suggesting me dishes. Also love their Masala Bay Indian restaurant and the daily breakfast i used to have in Vista restaurant which is their 24x7 restaurant. Not forgetting to burn all my calories daily morning in the gym working out with my favorite Bollywood celebrity. We also had a relaxing pedicure in the Taj Salon in the property. And never carry your soap, shower gels, shampoo and not even a comb as they will provide you with everything needed. I recommend all the travelers to select Taj Lands End if they love watching the beautiful sea with a great and memorable view which you may not find anywhere in the city. Also if anyone celebrating any occasions like birthday or anniversary would recommend informing the hotel and seeing how they surprise you with cakes and goodies. And Chinese lovers never forget to visit Ming Yang. Also travelers who love shopping can shop in the property shopping at Taj Khazana store and Louis Vuitton store not forgetting to go to the Club Lounge for High Tea and Cocktails as they serve in a unique way. Appam lovers can have loads of appams at the breakfast. They are just yum and I must admit they have the best waffles in the city. Make it a point to try while reservation always put in a request for Bandra Worli Sea Link facing room. Next time would spend more time at the hotel and go for my leisure trip and not miss out on swimming. Last visit I missed out on swimming and spa and many more activities. And of course would prefer the Bandra Worli Sea Link facing room and hoping to stay in the luxury suite in which I stayed a year back with my parents. This time I was alone so opted for club room. Wishing the hotel all the best and hoping to have the same hospitality and service like I always get. Thank You!
Alright, first things first, if your flight is from the domestic airport then this property is close by ... Walking distance. However, like me, if you arrive or even depart from the T2, then depending on the traffic the hotel is 20 minutes away. Hotel Transit is among a cluster of hotels or good standing. Opposite to it you have the Orchid Hotel, a five star property and it is adjacent to Athithi, Ibis and others. Taxis and autos are easily available parked along the sidewalks. The façade is a tall building and nothing out of the ordinary. The warm welcome by the doorman lends a likeability to the place. The lobby is minimalistic but warm front office staff. The check-in although could have been a bit faster, but no complaints. My room was shown by a Mr. Max and was quite keen on telling me all the details of the room including what was chargeable and how electrical appliances worked. Found that pretty nice. The room was straight out of the makemytrip picture shown. So, no surprises there! I happen to read everywhere that rooms in Mumbai are smaller than other places, but found this room to be pretty ideal for me considering I was on single accommodation type. Felt that the stuff in the mini fridge could be checked from time to time lest it became dull, I mean the chocolates. The restaurant is pretty much alright. There are days you will see only men drinking and on other days there is a mix of family and well, people enjoying a drink. If one is a teetotaler then it could prove to be a problem. Coming to the food, I quite enjoyed the starters and will recommend the Prawns with a spicy touch to it. There are days you could be treated to buffet, depending on a group of airline staff staying there or catering to a group. Else, it is pretty much Ala Carte. I had the chicken biryani and found it rich in spices and flavoursome. Yes if spices are your thing then you will enjoy the food here. I was mighty impressed by the energy levels of the stewards, especially Mr. Arun. Fantastic service by the person and knew how to keep me and my guests enjoy the offering of the restaurant. The breakfast is a buffet and well I enjoyed the south Indian dishes. It was a decent spread of continental and Indian dishes. I found the place nice, friendly, right on the pocket, good food, close to airport, option of transportation available nearby and a good stay!
I have been using makemytrip for most of my bookings and have been pretty satisfied till now. This was my first experience with OYO rooms ... Someone recommended based on the location ... The place that I wanted to visit was close by. I thought it may not be bad idea to try out the much hype, well funded aggregator's services for a change. I was curious to find out how the much talked about startup has changed the whole landscape of hospitality industry. "I was very much disappointed at the end of it" will be an under-statement. Overall, it was the same old "guest house" horror story! I made a mistake which I had stopped making after learning the hard way. I would rather pay some extra rupees rather than staying at a cheap (and cheap) place. All this thanks to the hype and buzz around the brand OYO. The first experience with OYO will mostly be my last (phew! ). I would suggest a new and more appropriate brand name to the founders of OYO - AYYO !! Here is why - 1. Where are you? It took me some 30 minutes to locate the property. The location shown by Google Maps was not correct. I called up the service center and a chirpy trying to be helpgul lady tried to guide me. She was guiding me to the same wrong location which I had already reached! Then she tried connecting me to the caretaker but the phone just kept ringing. We finally used the local GPS (General people service" :) to locate the place. The place did not have the quintessential OYO board. The manager explained that the society did not allow it. I told him about the wrong location on Google Maps. He was aware of it and unapologetic about it - "yeah, we have requested Google to correct it". 2. Where is the parking? The bellboy took me from the office to the apartment. We had to find a parking spot with the help of 2 security guards. The information Page very clearly mentions that parking is available. I asked the bellboy and he gave me some weird answer - "every flat has only one parking". The scary part was that the guard said that anther person will park in front of my car and if I was required to move the car, he would call the person from his flat. Wow! 3. The room - The room had an AC but the temperature was kept at 26. It took me some 45 minutes to bring it down to a bearable level in the hot & humid Mumbai of April. The room itself was pretty basic and cramped. It wasn't even squarish in shape. The key did not work properly. 4. Toilet - The slope wasn't proper and the water was getting collected in one part. The water-outlet was not working properly ... I had to close to shower intermittently to let the water out. It was a shower in installments !! 5. Noise - Right outside my room, there was a small room which was being used by caretakers. I am not sure if it was OYO staff or the building staff but they were making a lot of noise. Thankfully, I was pretty tired and did not really get disturbed by the noise. A light sleeper would have had a lot of trouble. 6. Breakfast - The breakfast was served in the room (clap, clap) in a polythene bag. The bag had 4 slices of bread, an omelette (less than 2 eggs) and a packet of juice. The bread and omelette were wrapped in aluminium foil. It was one of the most pathetic hotel stays that I have had in the recent past.
This is one of the best hotels that I have ever been to. The Oberoi is simply beautiful and an excellent place to stay. I loved this place a lot. The location of the hotel is great and the staff is really well-mannered and helpful.
My room was really beautiful and spacious. It has a wonderful bathroom attached to it with all the modern amenities and beautiful design and interiors. The food I had for my lunch was excellent. I loved it. The service was beyond doubt- excellent.
Their hospitality was great and the hotel has plenty of things to go and do like bar, gym, pool etc. I had a wonderful time being here and I wish to be back here again in future.
We checked into Bawa International Hotel near Mumbai Airport for one night on the 23rd of April 2015. We were on the way to Goa the next morning. We had booked an executive room but since, the room was not available at the time of check-in, they upgraded us to a superior room which was a pleasant surprise. We were delighted. The room was well-appointed in the sense that the bed was very comfortable and other furnishings were excellent but above all the Air-conditioning was great. There was absolutely nothing to complain.
Room service was very prompt and the staff was quite courteous. The housekeeping was immaculate. We requested for room slippers and these were provided instantly without any fuss. All toiletries were provided and the bathroom was spic and span. This is an excellent hotel for transit passenger as the hotel is located very near to the Mumbai domestic Airport in fact only 4 to 5 minutes away by taxi available near the hotel or the hotel provides you one on request (chargeable). There is a very good restaurant on the ground floor where we had a hearty breakfast before we left for Goa the next morning. There are some eating options near the hotel but then you need to cross the main road and look around.
I would book at the same hotel again if I have to transit via Mumbai to catch an early flight out. Thank you very much to the staff and management of Bawa International hotel for such high standards. Please keep it up!
