- Comfortable Stay but needs maintenance

My friend and myself went on a visit to Mysore for viewing the heritage sites. It was memorable for a reason that we are meeting after 15 years. So I had booked Palace Plaza Hotel considering that it was near to the Mysore Palace. It came at a premium compared to other hotels that are little away and I would also expect the seasonal impact since it was 25th December The hotel looks fine as we entered. The parking space is limited. We managed to use the footpath area which I think was the practice out there and also suggested by the hotel staff. As we entered our room we noticed that the door was locked with a padlock. So this means anyone can lock you from the outside. The room was comfortable. The bed was neat and clean. When we switched on the A/c it was not working. So we had to be shifted since this a/c had to undergo maintenance. There was something unique about the bed. The ceiling above the bed had a mirror. I have never seen it anywhere. It looked awkward to see yourself while lying down. The bed cover itself served as a blanket since there was no separate white blanket provided. The stay was comfortable. With a little more maintenance the place would have been better The restaurant was available in the ground floor. Food was excellent. Here also the place is old and it was clear that it required rework to spruce up. That's one the reason why I think it was dimly lit. This is to avoid attention to the flaw in any of the objects around The service of the staff was adequate. We didn't tip them so the service was ordinary. I think there would have been an extra smile if we did so. The hotel staff did help us with the suggested site visits a little away from Mysore and the time it will take to reach. This was useful considering I have not visited those places earlier Overall it was a good experience to stay near the Mysore Palace.

My visit to this hotel was in the month of August 2016 with friends. Destination is excellent. Location of the hotel was inside the city and was excellent. Appearance of the hotel was excellent from interior and exterior. Check-in and check-out was done on time. Staff were cooperative and friendly. Service provided was on time and was excellent. Room was spacious and clean. All amenities were available with working condition. Food was excellent. No Activities were held at the hotel.

Very good appearance while entering into the hotel. In front office good placed and security of upstairs lift. Stayed people only travel in the lift, because while in the lift card only access for moving upstairs. WiFi connection very fast. Restaurant place is very good and service good. Food taste very good. Restaurant people behaved in good mannerism.

We stayed here for 1 night, rooms are small but with all basic amenities. Rooms are clean but at few places like bathroom tiles, vigorous acid cleaning to remove stains would be nice, otherwise furniture is good but look is bit old. No cupboard was there in our room. Service is excellent though. We ordered food there, taste was good, service was quick. Staff is very helping.
- Needs to be a little more friendly for handicap people

The hotel is small but nice and clean. Good to spend nights not much to do in the hotel. Since I am on wheelchair always look for easy accessibility: The hotel had a ramp but was very steep one is scared to go on it even though, I have an automatic one I was scared so they use to bring their manual chair and four people use to take me in. We were in an executive suite with a cousin, the bathroom of the master bedroom was leaking but the service was good they would attend immediately but we were there for three days and it did not get rectified Food was not bad. It is reallocated. Since it was a suite there are two bathrooms but I fail to understand why only bathtubs, there should be a small shower area in every bathroom. I am sure most people would not have time to take a luxury Bath or not many people can get into the tub. I had a tough time bathing outside of the tub. If I would go again will make sure take the room which has shower facility in the bathroom.
