Nice place worth a visit not alone only with friends where in you can enjoy on your own with your group. You will find people at Jaisalmer commenting otherwise but don't listen to it. Its definitely worth giving a shot. It is completely a relaxing place and very romantic. You are treated as some king the fort gives such a feel. Though their was no dress code of the staff as you expect at heritage place, not maintained properly and no proper guards. But that can be neglected.
The location is right in the middle of the small town. The hotel is a part of an old fort. The fort in itself is not great and not even maintained very well. The rooms are decent with basic facilities. The nice part is that feel like living in a fort where kings and queens used to stay at one point in time. They have tried to match the decor but still need to do a lot in terms of the interiors.
The pool area and the garden area is the best part. It is well maintained and also has nice views. If you are in a large group, it is a great place to have a get together or a team event. The food preparation is good although the menu is pretty normal. Since the hotel staff is a small team, they are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Overall good value for money but not much to do within the hotel itself unless you are a part of a group.
The locale of the hotel was excellent, the staff were very courteous. The service was excellent, the food quality was really good. Only negative point was, there is no privacy, the tourists visiting the fort would invariably barge in our rooms to see what was inside.
Really good fort and good facility and service, and also staff are co-operative. Fort also good and, it is also give value of our money. Food provide by fort and staff also good. Also available all type facilitate. Place is old but room developed new look.
I stayed here on a full moon night in February 2014. The fort is beautiful and full of history, both Indian and British Colonial. All influences are still in force. Based on the lush gardens and some of the newer construction/stonework, I can tell that this place is going to be ultra high-end in the coming years. I feel lucky to have been able to stay here. There is a really neat Hindu temple on one of the upper stories. We found it because of the drumming at service time.
