I had been staying there since last 5 years. It was a brilliant hotel. I was really satisfied with the services provided by them. I went there for a holiday with family and friends. The rooms were set up very nice. The bedding was getting better and better. The room was neat and clean. It was a brilliant experience every time I go there. They were improving their services with time. It was the best place to stay. The location of the hotel is not at all difficult to reach. I had no problem in spotting the hotel. The hotel is centrally located in a perfect location. The appearance of the hotel was brilliant. Their interiors were very well done. They had a ballroom and conference room. The restaurant had amazing food with amazing outside view. The only thing they needed to be improved is that store, they provided in the hotel. The staff of the hotel were very good, very responsive, well-mannered and well behaved. They knew how to talk to the guests. Check-in and check-out was not at all delayed. This was one of the best hotels over there. The room was very spacious with a good balcony. The housekeeping was good and on time service. The washroom and cleanliness in the washroom were good. The food variety was good. The food was also brilliant in taste and quality. They had lots of activities for kids. They had an afternoon cooking session with the in house chef for the ladies. They also had some sports for men. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.
This hotel claims to be a 5 star but don\'t expect the opulence and grandeur of Taj or Leela. However the resort provides you with a 5 star experience. The resort is on the slope of a hillock and bang in front of the beach. The beach is a small one and exclusive to the resort. There is no other way to reach the beach other than the resort. Water sport facilities are available on the beach and the resort authorities have taken care to keep the beach clean. The rooms are spacious. Except the standard rooms, all other rooms provide a view of the sea and the pool. Room service is prompt and excellent. Classic, Delux and the suites have DVD players and one can rent DVDs from the resort at no extra charge The resort provides a wide variety of entertainment services. There is a casino in the resort. Daily two movies are screened at the 24 hour coffee shop. Live performance by bands at their bar and restaurant makes the evenings magical. There is kidade room to keep the kids busy. Plus there is pool, lawn tennis, badminton, basketball and other indoor game facilities to keep you busy throughout the day. You can also play beach cricket and beach football. The resort has 5 restaurants. 2 are outdoor and 3 indoor. The indoor restaurants have good ambiance with special mention of Alfama. Food though is bit average but the overall experience will be very special. The bar provides an excellent view of the sea and is well stocked. there is a 24 hr coffee shop Overall the warm and friendly staff, excellent service, good ambiance and entertainment facilities makes this resort a 5 star one.
Best Experience: Live band performance in the evenings at the bar makes the evenings magical. Special mention about the Alfama restaurant which provides a perfect setting for romantic dinner. Cafe Azul gives you a perfect view of the sea and you can spend your evening relaxing there and staring at the sea. The service staff are not uptight as in other 5 star hotels. They are friendly and provides good and prompt service. Do stay in this resort if you are looking for a romantic holiday
Worst Experience: There are few minor issues which however couldn\'t be rated as worst. The resort provides coach service to airport and the coach that was provided to us from airport to resort was a old one. Didn\'t have the best of experience. The classic rooms have balcony which are too narrow. 2 people can hardly sit there. Otherwise nothing to complain.
I stayed for 2 evenings at Wildernest, Chorla Ghats in a Forest View Cottage amid the storms and had a magnificent time.
I was picked from the air terminal and acquired to Wildernest two or three hours, in the nick of time for breakfast. After a stunning breakfast I began for the waterfall trek with a couple of different visitors and an aide. The entire trek endures 2 and half hours and you're drenched before the end of it even with the downpour incredible you are furnished with. Not the most straightforward of treks but rather week worth the exertion when thou get to the waterfall. On the off chance that you truly need to get no holds barred with the waterfall, you'll need to wade through thigh high water. The drenching you get is most likely justified, despite all the trouble. The night treks are really short additionally truly pleasant.
Amid the storm, fog wins during that time and it feels like right on time morning at a slope station as the day progressed (however not exactly as cool). The fog does cover up subsequent to of the perspectives yet it tidies up and on giving you a splendid perspective of waterfalls and the woods.
It rains always and there is a genuine wonder to it.
The bungalows are wooden and have immense windows on 3 dividers giving you a decent perspective of the backwoods. Despite the fact that you are inside the resort, it does feel like you're amidst a timber land.
The sustenance is awesome. It's basically Konkani sustenance made with fixings sourced provincially and developed in their own particular ranches. Of you're not an aficionado of coconut in your sustenance, you may not care for a considerable lot of the dishes. I don't have that issue and cherished the nourishment.
On the off chance that you like the downpours, don't worry about a few bloodsuckers hooking on to you and like to be unified with nature, Wildernest amid the storms is an unquestionable requirement.
Just negative was that I wasn't given a room till 12 30 however I arrived at 8 30 AM. Didn't make a difference an excessive amount of on the grounds that I went for the trek. Weigh in is at 1:00 however I wasn't educated that arriving before the actual arranged time would mean I wouldn't get a room.
Be that as it may, for this little hiccup, I had a brilliant time and will without a doubt return.
Goa needs no introduction. However, we went there hoping for a peaceful, yet esciting holiday, and we got both when we stayed at this resort, which, on virtue of its location on the Utorda beach, exudes peace and calm, and yet, because it has facilities to let us visit other, more \'happening\' beaches like Calangute, etc, helped us soak up the party spirit of the place. The beach, into which we were led by the back gate of the resort, had white sands which sparkled in the sun, and created a dreamy atmosphere after dark, when the moon came out. There were sand beds with umbrellas availble and a small restaurant to serve beverages and starters. The resort was exactly as seen on its website, and the swimming pool was awesome, with separate sections for everyone with varying depths, which allowed a non-swimmer like me freak out in it. The rooms were spacious, well maintained, each with a small balcony where you can have a leisurely chat and tea with your family. There was a business centre, where you could check your mails, and reconnect with the lost outer world. The restaurants however were not all open, as they said that a few days still remained for the \'season\' time, but the lounge bar and the coffee shop were good. The bar tenders were friendly and indulged our various \'creative\' wishes, and mixed drinks for us. There was a small casino and a small disc, with the DJ having a wonderful ear for music. I only wish there was someone to join me on the dance floor. All in all, the resort was probably not exciting enough for groups which wanted noisy and happening parties, but good enough to have a luxurious, leisurely holiday, with the sun, sand and sauna thrown in.
Best Experience: The best experience we had was at the swimming pool, where we spend a whole morning, sometimes walking through the water, then reaching the sunken bar and then walking back to lie down on the beds on the poolside, and read a book. The jacuzzi was another added indulgence. Also, we spend another morning at Vagator beach, and the beautiful rocky shores with a surprisingly calm sea was all that we needed to go out into the water. A charming dinner at Taj Aquada, complete with crabs and shrimps made in the goan way was a sumtous end to this holiday.
Worst Experience: We had to wait for some time for our check out, though we had informed them in advance. Probably the resort needs some more computers and staff at the check out counter. However, that was a minor problem.
Overall reasonably priced hotel with all amenities
Visited this place with my family for Christmas '14. The hotel has a lot of positives and a few areas of improvement.
The location definitely tops the list of positives. It's a 2 minute, 200 meter walk from the Vasco-da-Gama railway station and a 15 minute, under 5 mile drive from the airport. There are several restaurants in near vicinity, with various forms of cuisine on offer. In addition, there are two parks around the corner for an early evening or morning stroll.
The staff at the reception are quite helpful and are quick in responding to requests from the in-room Telecom. I had requested for the room to be mopped before going to bed, mosquito repellent and extra blankets. The hotel staff was quick in attended to these requests.
The rooms are clean and quite cosy, the interiors of the hotel had an old world charm to it. The corridors and the stairway are of colonial design. The hotel offers free and efficient WiFi in room.
Some challenges that visitors may come across. Car parking is on the street in front of the hotel and you may have have challenges finding a parking spot. The hotel staff could assist with parking. The large windows of the room we were in, did not have locks and could easily be opened from the outside. Fortunately we were on the 3rd floor and did not lose sleep over this.
The big spirit dampener for us was the service at the restaurant. We waited for 40 minutes to be served. When we had questioned the manager of the restaurant, the reason given was that the staff was engaged in a party at the banquet hall. While the food served finally was reasonably priced and tasted pretty good, the long wait killed our appetite. I would have appreciated being informed about this delay while the food order was being placed.
In all a reasonably priced hotel for the amenities and the location.
