I had booked "Supreme AC Twin Deluxe" room which had only window AC which only makes lot of noise and gives only air. It really does not cool at all, outside air is much cooler than inside the room, even with full AC power.
They have everything inside the Hotel itself like Restaurants, Spa, MORE shop, Dosa camp in evening, etc. There are no good food joints nearby and it is also little far from Hampi. You need to drive 45 km extra to go to Hampi and back every day.
My wife and I stayed at Rock Regency Hotel last weekend. We were on our own vehicle and so parking was important for us. There is ample parking within the compound, but it is uncovered. The hotel is over 30 kilometres, a good one hour, away from Hampi. Again, because we were on our own vehicle, it was alright. Otherwise, one has to factor in the cost of travel when one calculates value for money. Yes, the front office is excellent and they will make travel arrangements if needed. Food is good, especially considering the price range at which it is offered. Hot water was available in the bathroom round the clock. There is a supermarket in the same compound and there is an ATM next door. So, there are plenty of positives, which gives one good value for money. The negatives are the Air Conditioning in the room which was terrible and noisy. Thankfully, we went when the weather was pleasant and on the second night, we didn't turn on the AC. But, between March to October, I'm not sure how it would be if ACs aren't good. WiFi depends on whether you have a router right outside your room or not. Even then, it was intermittent. Overall, the place is not fancy, but it offers you a decent place to stay with options for reasonably good food around.
Being right opposite to the Jindal Steel plant, the overall appearance is shoddy due to continued soot and pollution from the company. The hotel room is average and the room service is much below expectation. Despite booking and making payment for an extra bed, the hotel staff were reluctant to provide sufficient water bottles. All they provide are three 500 ml water bottles for 24 hours. Anything extra would be charged.
Luckily there is a MORE store nearby which is a life saver. Overall a very bad experience as surely I am not going back to this hotel again.
Toranagallu is not a big city, so people has to travel to JSW steel factory for official work. This is the only big and good hotel. It has very good massage center with Very attractive entrance and gardening, and bar is also available. Service provided is excellent like complimentary breakfast, wifi service and 24 hours power backup. Hotel is full at any time, so it is better to go online booking in advance.
This hotel is located about 30-35 kms from Hampi. It is a 3 star hotel with beautiful ambiance and peaceful surroundings. It is located near a township which is very well built and is worth visiting. The service is great. There are more than 2 restaurants in this place where you get very good food. The staff is very helpful and responsive. Worth staying here if you are travelling to Hampi or nearby places.
