A Great & Royal experience. U can actually feel as if you belong to one of the royal families. We were a group of about 20 people & each was welcomed with Tilak & garlands. The poolside is beautiful & so are the rooms. It was a really great heritage experience & not too expensive at that. But yes..if you have a party & you are considering serving booze..it would be better to get your own & pay corkerage....otherwise it would be tooooooo expensive. But a really good experience.

"Every one warned us against..."

Every one warned us against going to Rajasthan in month of May. So we left Ahmedabad with great doubt. But it turned out to be a great holiday.thanks to lovely temples of Ranakpur and wonderful experience at Hotel Fateh Bagh Palace.I had read a lot about Fateh Bagh palace at Ranakpur. As its brochure says \"The birth of Fateh Bagh itself is a story\". Palace of \"ravla Kosilav\" which was situated almost 50 kilometers from temple town of Ranakpur was crumbling. One Mr. Thakore (I am not very sure about the name) decided to preserve it in a unique manner. The old palace was completely dismanteled and some 65,000 pieces of stones were transfered to this place near Ranakpur and reconstructed. This reconstructed palace is Hotel Fateh Bagh palace. It preserves the old rajput architecture combining it with all ultra modern aminities and facilties. This hotel is part of HRH group. Appearance, rooms, service was of exceptional quality. Due to off season the rates were also reasonable. Only dissapointing thing was its insipid food. All in all very relaxing place to stay. Ideal place just to laze around and do nothing.

Best Experience: Their personalised service was onething which I appreciated. When they came to know that it is my mother\'s birthday, on the last day of our stay, front office presented a bouquet to her. In fact all the waiters & other staff memebers too came and gave her flowers. This was a touching experience for her. I was particularly impressed by the rooms and central courtyard. Central courtyard had a feeling of courtyards I have seen in houses of mediteranean country. At night it particularly looked beautiful with lovely candles. Also the way few trees were placed in the courtyard was interesting. Rooms were real delight. They were big.Interiors were traditional Rajasthani, with mock old look. But had all the modern aminities you could ask for. Only thing missing was a place to put soap dish in the bathroom!!

Worst Experience: Food was most insispid I have ever tested. I think they had kept only foriegn tourist in mind while making it. Swimming pool had beautiful setting but was not very clean. I think they have made a mistake in planting \"Jamun\" tree near it. Also missing was some kind of indoor sports facility like carrom or table tennis etc. There was nothing for kids to pass time with.
