Air travel is the best way to travel to Abu Dhabi from India. The distance between the two countries is 3,059 kilometres (1,901 miles). The time taken to travel from some of the major cities of India to Abu Dhabi is around 2 hours (minimum) to 4 hours (maximum). Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Ain International Airport are the two major airports in Abu Dhabi. Apart from this, Dubai International Airport can also be used for reaching Abu Dhabi.
There are number of flights operating from different cities of India, at varying times. The national airline of UAE is the Eithad Airways, which is the official carrier of Abu Dhabi. In addition, several international carriers such as Jet Airways, Air India and Air India Express also fly from different cities in India to Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) is the second largest airport in UAE. It is situated to the east of the city centre at a distance of 26 km.
