Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium

Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium was opened in the year 1979. Spread across an area of 400 hectares, it is the largest zoo in the entire Gulf region. Here, one can find a wide assortment of animals such as deer and Arabian Antelope along with African Antelope like eland, lechwe, oryx and gazelle. Additionally, this zoo also conducts various researches to develop breeding programs focused mainly on endangered species.

The highlights of the zoo include a cathouse that houses tigers, lions, pumas, black & spotted jaguars and leopards. There are also monkeys, reptiles and gorillas. Taking a tour of the zoo by train is one of the best modes to explore and witness the sights.
