The Anatolian Civilisations Museum (Anadolu Medeniyetleri Muzesi) is one of the museums located in south Ankara Castle. This building houses a conference hall, laboratory, workshop, work rooms, library and administrative building.
Starting from the Palaeolithic era, this museum exhibits Neolithic, Early Bronze, Assyrian trading colonies, Hittite, Phrygian, Urartian, Greek, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods.
Apart from these, this building provides a collection of diggings from Adilcevaz, Karain, Canhasan, Pazarli, Altintepe, Beyce Sultan, Alacahoyüuk, Kultepe, Çatalhoyuk, Hacilar, Acemhoyuk, Bogazkoy (Gordion), Patnos and several other times.
Silver, glass, gold, bronze and marble works from the late first millennium BC are displayed at this structure. Even the rare collection of coins from the first batch currency to the present times is exhibited at this museum.
