Bali is an easily accessible destination. There are direct flights to Bali from most of the major international airports. One can also fly to Soekarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta and take a domestic flight, which is about 80 minutes. These flights are frequently available.
From the airport, taxi services are available to most locations. It is also possible to take private chartered flights to Bali. However, they are more expensive than regular flights.
The alternate way to reach Bali is to travel by bus from Jakarta to Java and cross over on the ferry, which takes about 30 minutes. If taking a train, whether travelling from Jakarta, Yogyakarta or Bandung one has to travel via Surabaya. Since the trains run daily and in some cases twice a day, getting to Bali is not a problem.
One of the best routes to reach Bali would be to take a flight from Singapore. Both these places are well connected and offer regular flights and other modes of transport. It takes nearly 2-3 hours to fly down to Bali from Singapore. Ferries are also available from Singapore to Bali.
Hi HIQ ens.
I am planning to rent a car for about 6-7 days to travel around Bali. Can anyone based on their travel and experience provide me a cost estimate and suggest car rentals that they are familiar with and are reliable?
Thanks a ton in advance.
I am planning to go to Bali.I've heard of 2 spots in Bali which is supposed to be famous. Please let me know if it is better to stay Kuta or is it better to stay at Nusa Dua.I've heard that both the places are good.So if anybody can help me out with this, i would really appreciate it.
