Bangkok is a very beautiful city with lot of skyscrapers. The transport infrastructure is very good. There are more than 400 temples in Bangkok.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping
I found some Indian restaurants around Indra Market near Pratunam. The best was Khurana Inn. Others charge VAT and Service charge on your bill. Food was also very good at Khurana Inn. Indra Market is the best in terms of value for money. Second best is MBK mall. There is a BIG C Hypermarket in Prathyunam, which is worth visiting. For the fashion freak, they have a Central and Gaysorn near Big C.
Activities & things to do
Go around the city in Sky train and Metro. Meter taxis are also good. Golden Buddha temple is interesting. A boating in Chao Phraya River is good. It will cost 1000 Thai Baht per head. Watch the city from the top (83rd floor) of Bayoke II hotel in Indra Market.
