Bentota Beach is the major sightseeing attraction of Bentota. The beach offers water sporting opportunities to travellers like water surfing, snorkelling, jet skiing etc. There are training courses also available here for swimming and diving.
The beach remains closed during the monsoon season and also during the rains. The best time to travel to Bentota is during the months of December to April, when the weather is dry and the beach is open.
