The Kechimalai Mosque is one of the most well known sightseeing spots of Beruwala. This mosque is the oldest mosque in the country and is built on the site where the first moors settled in Sri Lanka. The place attracts a lot of Muslims on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.
