The Beruwala train station is a small station with not many facilities. There is only a single track here and only slow passenger trains stop at this station. However, there are trains available from this station to Kalutara.
There is another station at Aluthgama, which is close to Beruwala. Trains travel frequently from Colombo to this station, including express trains. Altuhgama train station is about 2 km from Beruwala. Auto rickshaws are available from Aluthgama station to Beruwala and the journey takes less than 10 minutes.
The Aluthgama train station has drinking water facility, washrooms, a few ATMs and a foreign exchange counter.
