There are no bus services from one island of French Polynesia to another.
They are, however, connected through ferries and cruise ships. Farepiti quay is the place where boats that take tourists from Bora Bora to nearby islands dock. However, the ferry and boat services do not operate at regular intervals.
These are operational only on certain days, for a particular destination. For instance, The Maupiti Express ferries passengers from Bora Bora to Maupiti only thrice a week.
