| Green Island |

Green Island is only 30 minutes by ferry from Cairns and is surrounded by coral reef. There is a 5-star resort and a small shopping village that helps tourists with diving, swimming, snorkelling and other activities. One can also find an aquarium complex housing big crocodiles and a marine land, which includes more than 120 species of native plants, marine life and colourful birds. Green Island is the only coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest.
