Located on a hilltop close to Kok River, the Wat Phra That Doi Chom Thong has a chedi containing one of the oldest Holy Relics in Thailand.
The chedi or the ‘Golden pagoda of stupa’ is situated in the middle of the temple and has influences of a combination of ancient Burmese and Lanna architecture. The stupa is 14 metres high, with the body, the bell and the lotus-petal case made of gold.
