The 36 metre wooden Bell Tower, located at Beijing City is one of the popular tourist destinations in China. It was constructed by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang in 1386 to provide early warning of attacks from the rival kings. When finished, it was located exactly at the centre of the city but as the city grew in all directions, the tower was moved 1000 meters east to its actual site.
Millions of tourists visit the Bell Tower every year to see the Ming-style architecture. A large iron bell was initially used in the tower, but because its ringing was thought to be not loud enough, it was replaced by a 10-inch thick bell made out of bronze.
A poignant legend of the tower is that the daughter of an official called Deng sacrificed herself so as to appease the gods and break the string of failures her father had suffered in casting the bell. The young girl was named as “Goddess of the Golden Furnace” in honour of her ultimate sacrifice.
Timings: 8:00 am - 05:30 pm (Nov 1 - Mar 31) and 8:00 am -10:00 pm (Apr 1 - Oct 31)
Admission Fees:CNY 40 for the joint ticket of Bell Tower and Drum Tower; CNY20 for only Bell Tower

During the Olympics Games, i can not get permission to China, due to the goverment policy, now i get a visa to travel in China.
But i lose interests of Beijing, some friends tell me Guangdong maybe a good choice, after a few calls to agent, i can not afford the trip, so i have to DIY my trip.
