Could you tell me whether Egypt is safe for a Tourist. I hear that there is lot of turmoil happening there. There is a real danger of kidnapping by terrorists ?? Please let me know your valuable opinion.
Planning a visit to Egypt preferably without tour operators - any suggestions re -
1. Abu Simbel - how far from Aswan and how long the trip takes?
2. Alexandria - time needed and things to see?
3. Cairo - how long does the Museum take if properly seen and how interesting is the Citadel and how long does it take to
visit+ see?
4. Is it true that all bus/car excursions - say from Cairo to Alexandria or Cairo to Red Sea Resort towns or Aswan to Abu
Simbel- are escorted in groups by police/security force?
Any other points/ideas are welcome too
