Travelling to Hamilton

All Indians require a Visa to travel to New Zealand. There is no facility for visa on arrival for Indian passport holders.

The Department of Labor, New Zealand deals with the visa and immigration to New Zealand for applicants from India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan. One can apply for a visa to New Zealand at Delhi, Chennai, and Bangalore, Kolkata or any of the major Indian cities.

Indians require a Visa to travel to New Zealand. The passport should be valid for at least three months from the date of departure. While applying for a Visa to New Zealand, one must have a valid proof of their travel plans to the country. This could include the tickets or the vouchers for hotel accommodation.

One also needs to show evidence of sufficient funds, while applying for a visa to New Zealand. The evidence of funds could be in the form of cash, traveller’s cheques, bank drafts or credit cards with sufficient limit. One needs to show proof of Rs. 33,000 per person per month or Rs. 13,200 per person per month if accommodation has already been paid for.

One can stay for a maximum period of nine months under a visitor’s visa.

British passport holders who produce evidence of the right to reside permanently in the UK can visit for up to six months without a visitor visa.

Australian citizens and people who hold a current Australian permanent residence visa or a current Australian resident return visa do not need a visa to enter New Zealand.
