In Hanoi, tourists can go for sightseeing to the various monuments which throw light on the country’s history. Hanoi is also popular for its puppet shows and theatres. The Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre shows Vietnamese folktales by wooden men, women and dragons dancing and splashing water as musicians play live. The shows are booked in advance and several performances are held every day.
There are two main movie theatres in Hanoi. The Megastar is situated in Ba Trieu while the August Movie Theatre has a central location close to the Trang Tien Plaza, Hai Ba Trung, Pho Hue and Trang Tien streets.
There are several areas to shop around in Hanoi including Trang Tien Plaza, Big C Thang Long Supercenter, Vincom Shopping Galleries and Yen So Shopping Mall.
