In the year 1929, the Klai Kangwon Palace was built under the supervision of the commandant of King Rama VII. The literal meaning of Klai Kangwon is ‘Far From Worries’.
The palace, built in the Spanish style, is situated on the sea shore and has a decorative garden. The Royal Family spends the hottest month of March and April in the palace. People can visit the place when the Royal Family is not staying there.
