Pinnawala Baby Elephant Orphanage

The well trained and friendly elephants here are very popular with visitors. Besides riding them, one can bathe these elephants also. A range of other activities that one can participate in the orphanage include photo safari, trekking, biking, camping etc.

A small museum at the orphanage gives information on the history of elephants and the steps being taken to preserve them.

Timings: 08:30 am to 6 pm on all days

Fees: Rs 600 minimum per adult for 15 minutes with an elephant, maximum Rs 3000 for 45 minutes.
