Kathmandu Excursions & Tours

There are various tours and excursions available from the city of Kathmandu. Kathmandu lies close to the city of Bhaktpura, which is a religious area of the country, owing to the presence of a lot of temples.

The city of Bhaktpura was the capital of the country in the olden days. It is located about an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. Half day tours are available to Bhaktpur which approximately cost NPR 3,000 per person.

Tours are also available to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Pokhara lies 200 km from Kathmandu. Two day and three day tours are available from Kathmandu to Pokhara. A two day tour to the city of Pokhara approximately costs NPR 10,000 per person.

Excursions are also available to Chitwan National Park. There are flights available from Kathmandu to a village near Chitwan National Park which takes about 35 minutes. One day as well as two and three day tours are available to Chitwan National Park. The park is the first national park of the country and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. A one day tour to Chitwan National Park approximately costs NPR 15,000 per person, which includes the flight fare as well.
