There cannot be a more beautiful and serene beach destination in South East Asia which offers so many attractions. Breathtaking views, numerous water activities and a never ending night life. It has something to offer to everyone.
Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Restuarants on the Chaweng beach stretch have a wide variety to offer. However my favuorite has been a small local joint in the chawend market called Mitra Samui. Authentic Thai food which will leave a imprint on taste buds forever.
Activities & things to do
Scuba diving, Snorkeling, Water Skiing, kayaking, hiking etc are few activities you can choose from. For sightseeing there is a whole list of places you can find in any local maps including a Zoo, en elephant temple etc.

There is only one airline that connects Koh Samui however there are ferries available from the nearby port of Surat Thani.
For internal sightseeing the best option is to rent a moped or motorcycle which are easily available.
