The Kota Kinabalu International Airport is the gateway to the state of Sabah and Malaysian Borneo. Situated around 8 kilometres to the southwest of the city centre, Kota Kinabalu International Airport is the second busiest airport in Malaysia after the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The airport has two terminals with Terminal 1 housing duty-free shops, lounges, restaurants. Both the terminals have ATMs and facilities for currency exchange. Terminal 1 is accessible via Jalan Lintas, Jalan Kepayan, and Jalan Putatan, whereas the original terminal building of Terminal 2 may be accessed via Jalan Mat Salleh in Tanjung Aru.
Nineteen airlines including various seasonals and charters operate to and from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
Shuttle bus transfers are available from the airport every hour. Mini buses are available from the main road. Minibus No. 17 goes to the city centre.
Taxis are available against coupons and cost around RM30 to travel from the airport to the city.
I am looking for a travel agent who takes escorted group tours to Malaysia and, apart from covering standard tourist circuit like Kuala Lumpur and Genting, also covers other destinations like Penang, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu etc.
If anyone here knows of travel agents who cover these destinations, please let me know.
Thanks
