Khao Khanap Nam is regarded as the symbol of Krabi. The name Khao Khanap Nam signifies two mountains that are 100 metres tall, located at the entrance to Krabi city. These mountains are separated by Maenam Krabi.
The caves of Khao Khanap Nam are often visited by tourists to explore its stalactites and stalagmites. Khao Khanap Nam is also a site of archaeological importance since a large number of human skeletons have been excavated from here.
The mountains can be reached within 15 minutes by a ride in a long tail boat from Chao Fa Pier. Rental boats are also available at 300 baht (Rs. 450). Visitors have the opportunity to explore mangrove forests and Ko Klang fishing village along with Khao Khanap Nam during this trip.
