The Koh Lanta National Park, located 70 kilometres south of Krabi is a group of many coral-fringed islands surrounded by a mountain range covered by rain forests. The islands are famous as diving sites. Other attractions include cave exploring and jungle walks. The largest island is Koh Lanta Yai and is the home of the sea gypsies or Chao Le, an old fishing community of Krabi.
The best way to reach Koh Lanta is by renting a car or motorcycle. Car Ferries connect the island with the mainland.
