Hat Rai Le of Krabi is famous for its remarkable views, dense mangrove forests towards its north and cliff climbing. Hat Rai Le is divided in to two sections – east and west.
Both West Rai Leh beach and East Rai Leh Beach are near to Krabi town. West Rai Le is a broad sandy beach that provides fewer facilities when compared to Ao Nang. It is famous for its nice sand and soaring limestone cliffs that offer a spectacular landscape.
East Rai Leh Beach is a five minute walk across a narrow spit from West Rai Leh. Smaller than West Rai Leh, East Rai Leh’s popularity stems from the wide range of accommodation from budget to high end, and the good restaurants and bars available here. East Rai Leh is different from other beaches in Krabi since it can easily be classified as a mud flat during low tide. The limestone cliffs between East Rai Leh Beach and Tham Phra Nang provide rock climbing facilities that attract rock climbing enthusiasts.
