The Wat Klong Thom is located on the eastern side of Krabi town. The museum is a good place to understand the cultural background of Krabi.
Artifacts of interest include ceramic and stone decorative art, stone and bronze tools, coins, pottery, skeletal remains and beads dating to the Stone Age. These were discovered while excavating Khuan Luk Pat area behind Wat Khlong Thom. Archeological studies based on these excavations indicate that Krabi was inhabited by Homo sapiens during 35,000 B.C.
