Kuala Lumpur being a popular tourist destination offers its visitors a wide array of activities ranging from adventures like water sports and helicopter tours to tours exploring the city.
The recently opened National Textiles Museum is a treasure trove of Malay garment heritage. On display are various styles of clothing worn by different ethnic groups of Malaysia and also a wide range of unique accessories.
A visit to the National Palace, the abode of the King of Malaysia as well as the Galeri Petronas, a famous art gallery situated in the Petronas Towers are also popular.
When it comes to shopping, the city is literally a shoppers’ paradise where everything from traditional clothing, jewellery, antiques and trendy international labels are available. One can head to Bukit Bintang or Suria KLCC for an authentic mall-shopping experience or the traditional Night market to get a feel of the local street market.
Since it’s a cultural melting pot, Kuala Lumpur offers numerous options for eating out. Whether it is Malay, Chinese, South Indian or Thai, the city has plenty of restaurants serving a diverse set of cuisines. The Night market is the best place to savour genuine Malaysian street food.
