Kuala Lumpur has several bus stations. Pasar Rakyat Bus Terminal and Puduraya Bus Station are the main bus terminals from where long-distance buses operate. Puduraya Bus Station is centrally located in Jalan Pudu, just a walk away from China Town.
Kuala Lumpur has several bus service providers which link the city centre with other parts. The primary operator is Rapid KL which is owned by the government. Other major operators are Metrobus, Transnasional, Triton, Selangor Omnibus etc. More information on Rapid KL services can be obtained at: http://www.rapidkl.com.my/
Most local buses have their terminals in the old quarter of Kuala Lumpur along the Jalan Cheng Lock. Some of the major bus stops are Central Market, Medan Pasar, Terminal Jalan Sultan Mohammed, etc.
Bus services are available to nearby Singapore which is cheaper than flights. There are regular buses plying this route and seats are available in different categories like economy, luxury and VIP class.
The ticket cost varies depending upon the class one chooses. Most of the buses take passengers to the city centre in Kuala Lumpur.
