Kuala Lumpur has plenty to offer in terms of sights and shopping. One will need at least two days to cover the city's main sights, especially since many are worth returning to at night, when the Kuala Lumpur cityscape lights up. The famous Petronas Twin Towers is a favourite tourist spot and can be admired from afar at night when the entire 88 floors light up.
For sightseeing, tourists can go the Batu caves, which are limestone caves excavated in 1892. The city also has various temples and mosques like the Thean Hou temple, Masjid Negara, Masjid Jamek, etc. The Thean Hou temple is one of the oldest temples in southeast Asia while Masjid Negara is an architectural landmark.
Eating, shopping and nightlife are the highlights of a visit to Kuala Lumpur. Shopping in Kuala Lumpur is a mix of shopping malls selling branded goods and local shops on the streets specialising in handicrafts.
Visitors can also head to Bangsar and check out the variety of party options. Kuala Lumpur also has a wide selection when it comes to food. From the best hawker food in Malay, Chinese or Indian, to a wide array of European delicacies from some of the famous international restaurant chains located in the city, Kuala Lumpur has it all.
