I along with my wife and another couple visited Langkavi on 25/4/2012. The moment we landed there, we were welcomed by the tour operator (Uncle Joe) who was already arranged by me online. He started the story of a lady who cast a spell on the Island long time ago and took us to her tomb house and museum related to her story. The Island was looking haunted to us. There were not much tourists and practically no life at all. We went to the Eagle square, which also was very boring, with out any tourists. The tour operator was saying we visited at the wrong time. There was heavy down pour, we could not enjoy that trip. So friends beware not to visit this place during April. Please check the season from the tour operators !
Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Sight seeing was hopeless with heavy down pour, we could not get out of the hired vehicle. The night market offered us a good treat to the eyes, but don't buy any thing from this market since they are very cheap quality products.
Activities & things to do
May be the only activity is the Island visits fro snorkelling. There is not much activity seen otherwise.
Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Fly from Kualalampur, it will take one hour to reach Langkavi. Don't visit this place during April, the Island looks haunted with out any body on the road, no vehicles, no pdesatrians and shops open only at night.
