| Mulee-agee Palace |
|
Mulee-agee Palace was constructed in 1906 by Sultan Mohammed Shamsudeen III for his son and currently serves as the Office of the President of Maldives. Just outside the palace premises is a garden in which vegetables were harvested during World War II to combat the food crisis.
Though Maldives is famous for its white sandy beaches Malé unfortunately does not have any beaches. The Artificial Beach in Malé makes up for the lack of any natural beaches. Previously popular with swimmers and relaxed strollers it is now gaining popularity as en entertainment centre with live music shows, parades and carnivals.
