The Queen Victoria Market is an open-air mall with more than 1000 stalls and is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. It is a historic landmark of Melbourne dating back to more than 120 years. In the past, it was once also the place of cemetery and a livestock market before turning into a full-fledged market.
Inaugurated on 1878, this market sells everything from clothing, jewellery, pets, toys, fruits, vegetables, shoes, travel goods, baggage and souvenirs at flexible rates. It also hosts events like cooking schools and tours.

Timing: 6.00 am to 2.00 pm (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
6.00 am to 5.00 pm (Fridays)
6.00 am to 3.00 pm (Saturdays)
9.00 am to 4.00 pm (Sundays)
Closed on Good Friday, Anzac Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
