Bird Watching

Bird Watching is another popular activity in Nepalgunj. Badhaiya Tal is one of the famous places where tourists can indulge in bird watching. It is located at a distance of 21 kilometres from Nepalgunj, on the Gulariya Road. Another area where bird watching  is possible is the Bardia National Park.

Bardia National Park is home to numerous animals and birds, most of which live in and around the Phantas. More than 350 species of birds reside in this national park, including stork, geese, jungle foul, cormorants, egret, horn bills and kingfisher. In addition, the place is also home to several endangered species of birds, such as silver eared mesia, Bengal florican and sarus crane.
