The most populous city in the United States, New York offers varied options for tours and excursions. Tourists wishing to explore the city can opt for bus, helicopter or boat tours. Bus tours combine short walks around the prominent sights in the city. Sights covered as a part of this tour include Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and Empire State Building, among others.

Cliffs that rise sharply attract people to the Palisades that lie on the western bank of the Hudson River.

Excursions to other destinations from the city like Boston, Massachusetts; New Haven, Connecticut and Princeton, New Jersey are also popular. To visit the theme park, Rye Playland, tourists can head towards Westchester and the Hudson Valley. The largest regional theme park in the world, Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey, is located just 80-minutes from Manhattan.
