Travelling to Perth

Both international and domestic flights arrive and depart from Perth Airport. The international terminal (Terminal 1) is a separate area and is about 10 kilometres from the domestic terminals (Terminals 2 and 3). The domestic terminals are both in the same building and are within walking distance from each other.

The main airlines that operate in each terminal are AirAsia, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, etc. in terminal 1; Jetstar, QantasLink (which serves numerous regional centres in Western Australia), etc. in terminal 2; Skywest, Virgin Blue and other regional airlines from terminal 3.

International connections are available mainly to Asian cities like Hong Kong, India, Dubai and Tokyo.

There is a bus service that links the domestic and international terminals. An Airport-City Shuttle also connects the domestic and international arrivals to the hotels. Bus 37 connects the city centre from the domestic terminals and travellers can also find a shuttle service to Fremantle and Scarborough.

Taxis are also available outside both the domestic and international terminals and a trip from the International terminal to Perth city will cost approximately AUD33.

Car rental companies like Avis, Budget and Europcar all have their offices at the airport.

The city centre along with most of the major hotels is served by taxi or commercial shuttle buses from all terminals. For more than two people, it is better and cheaper to take a taxi to the city. A taxi by meter can cost nearly AUD30 from the international airport whereas the shuttle costs about AUD15 per person.

However, there is no public bus service to the international terminal. Domestic terminals are served by Transperth buses.

Transfer between the terminals is possible through shuttle buses that are usually parked outside the door. A taxi service between the terminals can cost around AUD20.
