Travelling to Philippines - Passport and Visa
  Passport and Visa

For entering Philippines, travellers can opt for Tourist Visa, Non-Quota Visa, Employment Visa, Business Visa, Student Visa or The Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV).

Regardless of the length of stay in Philippines, most of the nationals require a visa. Britishers, Canadians and Americans require a valid passport to be issued a visa on-arrival at the ports of entry in Philippines. The validity of the visa is up to 59 days. Without a visa on-arrival, these nationalities can stay in the country for up to 21 days. This visa policy is also valid for citizens of Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

However, all the entrants to this country require a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended period of stay. One also needs return or onward tickets, documents necessary for further travel, as well as sufficient funds. The visa issued on arrival can be extended at the Bureau of Immigration.

Indian nationals require a visa to enter Philippines. They are not issued a visa on arrival in Philippines. To apply for visa, an Indian citizen is required to possess a passport having a validity of more than 6 months beyond the contemplated period of stay in Philippines.

Indian citizens can apply for Tourist Visa to Philippines that allows single entry or multiple entry for 6 months. Additionally, Business Visa to Philippines can also be applied that allows single entry, multiple entry for 6 months or multiple entry for 1 year.

One needs to submit the visa application form at the Philippine Embassy in India. Each visa allows the authorised stay of the Indian national till 59 days from the date of arrival in Philippines.

Documents required for Visa to Philippines
To be issued a visa, Indian citizens require a passport having at least 6 blank pages.  The passport should also possess validity for at least 6 months beyond one's contemplated period of stay in Philippines. Further, duly completed and signed Form 14A and 1 recent coloured passport size photograph are also required along with confirmed tickets for return or onward journey.

Visitors applying for Business Visa are required to submit certain original documents to the Philippine Consulates. These documents include Letter of invitation from a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registered business entity in the Philippines, along with a copy of their SEC registration certificate.

Other documents that are required are Letter of introduction of an Indian government recognised Export Promotion Council, Product Board or Export Development Authority.

One also needs to submit certain other documents like Letter of Introduction from the Indian Embassy in the Philippines and Letter of introduction by a recognised Chamber of Commerce in India.
