Patong Beach is one of the busiest and oldest beaches in Phuket. Located on the west coast of Phuket, it was only in the late 80s that the beach gained popularity with a heavy inflow of western tourists.
Patong beach remains a favourite spot among travellers even today and is lined up with shops selling inexpensive souvenirs and other knick-knacks.
The 3 km long beachfront is also famous for its nightlife. By night the whole place is turned into a party haven with pubs, discos and restaurants lighting up the lane. The area around Bangla Road is known for whole night parties.
The Paradise Complex area is a popular hangout among homosexuals visiting the island. The beach offers a wide range of facilities from jet-skiing and windsurfing to bungee jumping and go-karting.
What are the must see attractions of Phuket? I am planning to go there in the month of July. I want to know if it will be good. Or will there be any fest or something in Phuket any part of the year? And let me know of some luxurious stay in Phuket.
Hi,
In continuation with my posts on Bangkok and Pattaya, I will be staying at Phuket for 5 days. Which I think is ample time to cover a lot of places around Phuket. Please let me know which are these places we could visit and what are the sightseeing attractions in Phuket.
Thanks
