We went as a family of 8 for a beach holiday in 3rd week July 2015. We booked 1 Premium Spa Deluxe, 2 Spa Deluxe and 1 Deluxe Ocean Facing rooms. Deluxe Ocean facing rooms has 2 large queen beds and good space. Premium Spa Deluxe Ocean facing room had the best views and a really large 3-side open balcony with a big Jacuzzi. Spe Deluxe rooms were also comfortable but a bit small.
Hotel has 2 lovely pools, its own beach and excellent restaurants. We ate at the Cove (breakfast and coffee shop), the Italian and teh Grill restaurants. Each had good food and good service. The Grill place has mosquitoes at night, so one needs to put on some anti-mosquito cream.
Beach is excellent and we enjoyed swimming in the sea, though the waves were strong due to High tide in July. The resort is well-located - close to Karon Square and Patong beach. Htel had a shuttle to Junglecyon Mall at Patong twice a day, which is convenient. Some massage places and eateries are close by and we used to walk out to these at least once a day. It was a good holiday overall.
The hotel was typical old property and nearby the old market. The hotel was located in a congested area. The interior and exterior was well maintained. The check in and checkout process was also quick. The food was there in an international manner. But I preferred for spicy the food so didnít like the food. The quality was good and also price was high. The room was very much spacious and clean. The service of the room and hotel was good and on time basis. There were no activities in the hotel. The overall experience was good. I would recommend this hotel to other people.
I am planning to go to Phuket from Singapore for 3 days with my friends in Dec last week. Please help with following:
1. Which are the good hotels to stay in Patong (3-4 star)? Average price.
2. What are must see places there?
3. What to do in new years eve there?
What are the must see attractions of Phuket? I am planning to go there in the month of July. I want to know if it will be good. Or will there be any fest or something in Phuket any part of the year? And let me know of some luxurious stay in Phuket.
In continuation with my posts on Bangkok and Pattaya, I will be staying at Phuket for 5 days. Which I think is ample time to cover a lot of places around Phuket. Please let me know which are these places we could visit and what are the sightseeing attractions in Phuket.
