The island of Pulau Weh provides diving opportunities where morays, manta rays, lionfish and stingrays may be spotted. Whale sharks might also be seen grazing during plankton blooms. The island has around 20 diving sites. Most of these dive sites are located around Gapang and Iboih.
Visitors can enrol into a dive school to learn the basics of diving in the Pulau Island. Most dive schools have big and small boats with diving instructors. Apart from diving, one can also engage in snorkelling and mountain biking.
