Government Gardens

The Government Gardens are located in the downtown area of Rotorua and lie on the edge of the lake. The place has witnessed many battles being fought during the Maori era and forms a significant part of the history of Rotorua.

The Gardens have a large bathhouse built in the Elizabethan Tudor style. It also has a museum which displays various artefacts from the past. The Blue Baths gives one the opportunity to soak in heated waters.
