Travelling to Sentosa - Flights
  Flights

As there is no international airport in Sentosa, passengers need to take a flight to mainland Singapore to reach the city. Changi International Airport is the main airport. It is located at a distance of 17.2 kilometres north-east from the commercial centre in Changi. It is a regional hub of Singapore Airlines, Singapore Airlines Cargo, SilkAir, Tiger Airways, Jetstar Asia Airways, Valuair and Jett8 Airlines Cargo. It is also a secondary hub for Qantas.

The airport has three terminals namely T1, T2 & T3 and a dedicated Budget Terminal for low-cost airlines. The latter serves airlines like Tiger Airways, Cebu Pacific, Firefly and Berjaya Air. Singapore Airlines uses both terminals T2 and T3. A free Skytrain service connects the various terminals.

Terminal T2 has an indoor garden, a music listening area with couches, a computer gaming room, a small movie theatre, paid massage service and plenty of duty-free shops. Terminal T1 has a swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

T1 operates Malaysia Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, Air Canada and Austrian Airlines. Internet access is available at all the terminals. ATMs and money changers are also located at all the terminals.

Terminal 3 serves China Eastern Airlines, Jet Airways, Qatar Airways and United Airlines. Further, the airport also has a JetQuay CIP Terminal that is located next to terminal T2.

Changi International Airport is located at a distance of 21.33 kilometres from Sentosa. From the airport, one needs to head towards the East Coast Parkway (ECP) and exit at Keppel Road. From here, one can travel to Telok Blangah Road and drive to Sentosa. The travelling distance between Sentosa and Changi International Airport is 10 minutes, depending on the traffic.

  The best of Sentosa Islands
At the Sentosa Islands, I plan to catch the following (other than Universal Studios, of course) based on general public feedback. - Sentosa CineBlast + Desperados - 2-IN-1 - Megazip (Not too adventurous so avoiding Climbmax, Parajump, Northface) - Luge & Skyride - Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon - Songs of the Sea - Animal & Bird Encounters at Palawan Amphitheatre - Segway Fun Ride (on secure circuit) - Southernmost point of Continental Asia For anyone who has covered Sentosa Islands as comprehensively as possible, could you please guide me on a few queries… 1) I have short-listed the following to save time and money. But am I missing anything really worthwhile from the above mentioned rides/shows/attractions? 2) Would I be able to cover all this within one day? Will it he a rush-n-run experience? 3) Do I need to go for advance booking for any of these rides? I plan to visit in Apr-May 2012… is that peak period? 4) What kind of transport is available within Sentosa to go from one attraction point to other? Are they really far-away from each other? Are there any shuttle services and how much would it cost? I don’t have personal transport… 5) What are the best economical pure veg food options within Sentosa? 6) Finally, how much would I compromise on the fun if I take along my 2-yr son, since I guess kids are not allowed on most rides? Would really appreciate genuine feedback. Thanks in advance. Regards, Gaurav
