The Former French Concession is home to French colonial-era architecture. The concession ended in 1943 when the French government signed it over to pro-Japanese government in Nanking. This historic neighbourhood is a good place to take a stroll.
Earlier, it was the place for French traders and business people in Shanghai. This area is an interesting mix of eastern and western, old and new.
