There are several companies that offer car rental services in Sharjah. These cars can be hired for travelling within or outside the city, as well as for going on a tour.
The rate for particular routes is fixed and metres are not used for calculating the fare. Tourists can hire different types of cars depending upon their budget, number of persons travelling and luggage.
It is advisable to have prior reservations or bookings. Tourists visiting the city are allowed to drive the rented cars, if they have an International Driving Permit and driving licence.
