Central Market, also known as Blue Souk is located in close proximity to Khaled Lagoon. It is the largest market in Sharjah. Opened in the year 1979, it exemplifies Islamic architecture. Comprising more than 600 air conditioned shops, this market is divided into two sections. One section includes shops offering electronic items and gifts, whereas the other section comprises shops selling jewellery, gems and gold. Both these sections are linked with tunnels.
In addition, one can shop for various traditional crafts, apparels and antiques, apart from rugs. While shopping at the Blue Souk, one can make use of all major national as well as international credit cards, apart from availing the money changer facility.

9 am - 1 pm and 4 - 11 pm (except Friday)
