The Sharjah Art Gallery is one of the major tourist attractions in the city, located in the Obaid Al Shamsi house. Featuring the cultural heritage of the city, the gallery is now home to 11 artists, who aim to excel in their art and craft.
The Sharjah Art Gallery extends a warm welcome to contemporary artists from all over the world. These artists visit the gallery on receiving an invitation from the Sharjah Directorate of Arts. Besides, these artists make use of the studios every year and also indulge in discussions related to their work.
This gallery is a major venue, where lectures and seminars are organised. The Art bazaar that is organised frequently by the gallery is its major attraction. Additionally, the gallery exhibits the noteworthy works of artists at the main entrance.
